Culinary Competition and Grand Tasting

Food and wine pairings, live music and dancing, gourmet marketplace, live wine auction, art show and raffles.

The grand finale to Autumn Food & Wine Weekend, the Grand Tasting, features the food and wine of over 30 of the finest restaurants, caterers and chefs from the Lake Tahoe region, paired with premium world-class wineries. This is an incredible opportunity to sample the culinary and winemaking talents of the chef’s and wineries you always wanted to try, including Tahoe’s newest restaurants. The culinary offerings are over the top utilizing fresh seasonal ingredients prepared with the amazing skill of our chefs, perfectly paired with new and known wine finds. You will also discover new wineries and sample their latest vintage or newest varietal during the Grand Tasting on Vineyard Row and at the Gourmet Marketplace - all under blue skies in the great outdoors at the new Village at Northstar.

Evening Harvest Celebration - 5:00 9:00 pm
An evening celebration at the picturesque historic Round Pond pole barn among the vines will feature diverse wines from throughout the Napa Valley and offer a chance to meet the Growers who tend the grapes and make the wines. The evening will include dancing, and a live auction filled with a limited number of select, one-of-a-kind Napa Valley experiences.

In honor of November’s focus on women in wine, COPIA presents a second annual daylong look at how women approach growing, producing and promoting wine. Viticulturalists, enologists, winery/vineyard owners/presidents, restaurateurs and many others will offer the feminine perspective on their industry.

We’ll begin the day with talks and three panel discussions featuring prominent women in the wine industry. You may then join the speakers at a networking buffet lunch to continue discussions and make valuable connections.

Following is a festive walk-around winetasting featuring wineries owned and/or operated by women, enabling you to celebrate and toast the very best of “women in wine.”
